For those who ignored Asus GTX 680 Direct CU II 3 Slot older version (GTX680-DC2T-2GD5) graphic cards, now there’s a 2 slot revised version of the card with 4GB GDDR5 memory to boot.
The 2 models (highlighted in bold font) are the newer versions and have the same clock speed that DC2-2GD5 version has. Rest of it- with the exception of not having extended SLI cable in 2 slot version and –1 slot version in DC2/DC2G-4GD5+ 0.3″ more in thickness- its pretty much the same. DC2T-2GD5 still holds the higher clocks compared to other DirectCUII counterparts, however its a 3 slot version.
This was done simply by changing the heatsink design type:

The older version used a different heatsink design, using a copper plate below the heatpipe and then bending the heatpipe in “U” shape and installing heat-fins+ fans on top, like you see in many CPU Cooler type designs.
Although the cost of the card isn’t disclosed yet, rest of it are pretty much the same Direct CU II always comes with: Digi+ VRM, Super Alloy power components, 6+2 phase. In addition, the 2 slot versions will be bundled with Assassin’s Creed III that is scheduled for release during November 22nd for PC.
