ROG Tytan series are a full-fledged gaming systems from Asus. The unit that I am evaluating is the model: CG8565.
There’s really nothing much to say to make an introduction for ROG Tytan. CG8565 a full fledged standard ATX sized gaming system preinstalled by Asus. The most important part to sell such systems- in my opinion based on certain and very limited observation- are service, design, value (mostly service and value) followed by formfactor. One of the issue that prebuilt configuration that one will never stop seeing is “Will the warranty be voided if they upgrade such systems” and usually, it does void the warranty.
Alienware has X51- a much smaller formfactor and therefore much smaller room viz. limited to certain upgrades within a particular dimension- like graphic cards (for some reason, some people comparing it with an Xbox 360). However, Alienware India’s Product manager did tell me few months ago that the end user can change the graphic card, memory kit and even the processor post-purchase (should he require to do so) and the warranty will not be voided- unless there is physical/burnt damage.
Moving on with this unit for evaluation, we’ll see how she does
